THE SINKING ISLAND

Once upon a time,
There lived an Island where FEELINGS,
RICHES, HAPPINESS, LOVE, SADNESS, TIME,
WISDOM amongst others lived. One day,
It was announced to all the inhabitants
That the Island would sink. So everybody
Got their luggage ready and left the Island.
Amazingly, LOVE would not,
It wanted to persevere to the last
Possible moment... So when the Island almost sank,
Love cried out for help.
Fortunately for her, SADNESS was passing
By and love cried out in a loud voice
"SADNESS can you please take me in your boat?
The island is sinking and I have no one
To help me” SADNESS replied,
"I am sorry LOVE, I cannot help you
As you can see I am very SAD and
I just want to be myself. Soon,
RICHES was passing by in a very beautiful
Boat and LOVE cried out for help
"Please RICHES can you take me in your boat?
The Island is sinking and I am dying here all alone"
RICHES replied and said,
"Oh love, I would have loved to help you but as you can see,
U are too wet, I don't want you to damage my beautiful boat".
Love cried out in a louder voice as it was almost sunk.
As she was still crying, she managed to raise up her
Face and saw that HAPPINESS was almost approaching
And she shouted "HAPPINESS, please help me,
I am dying; No one has agreed to take me along"
But because HAPPINESS was too happy,
He did not even know when love was shouting.
Then, LOVE sat down again and cried for her misfortunes.
Suddenly, LOVE heard a voice saying "Come on LOVE,
I will take you along with me. LOVE turned back
And saw an old man in a very old Boat and she
Was relieved that at last someone has volunteered to help her.
So the Old man took love across
To the other side of the Island and bid her goodbye.
Meanwhile, LOVE forgot to ask the old man his name
And realizing how much she owe this old man
Became very ashamed and guilty and when she turned
To acknowledge the old man, Behold!
The old man was gone. As she stood
There wondering who must have helped her
Escape the disaster, WISDOM came by and love said to him
"WISDOM, I know you are a very wise man and should know the old man that has just helped me, please who helped me?"
WISDOM replied and said "TIME helped you?"
And love being very surprised asked him again
"TIME, so why did he help me?
WISDOM replied “only TIME knows how Priceless LOVE is “?
